ESPNs coverage is terrible! : r golf - Reddit ESPN's coverage is terrible! I cringe when see ESPN is covering an event Their coverage is just terrible They seem to have the same great announcers (Nantz, Faldo, Immelman etc) but its their use of technology thats just bad
ESPN+ poor stream quality from servers, 504p is the best and . . . - Reddit This does not affect ESPN+ through Apple TV or Roku The issue also does not occur on EPSN2, ESPN 3 and ESPNU Those all have HD 720p streams and also have multiple bitrates I pulled stream statistics and the best ESPN+ streams give is 894x504 and 2150 KBPS That is a horrible bitrate and the quality looks poor This was 2010ish quality
Is ESPN plus worth it and what do you get with it? - Reddit First, it does NOT carry what is on “real” ESPN channels or ABC It is mostly college football and basketball games from lower conferences, minor college sports like soccer, volleyball, baseball, etc ; a handful of MLB and NHL games, subject to local blackout; early day PGA before the Golf Channel comes on; and foreign events like cricket
Why is ESPN+ stream quality so bad? : r ESPN - Reddit The stream quality is terrible on web browser and that probably on purpose Just a conspiracy but they probably have deals with hardware like fire stick and Roku If you compare ESPN+ in the browser to the Roku version, in my experience the Roku looks noticeably better But even the Roku doesn’t look all that great Funny cuz I can steam sports on places like NBC, TNT, etc and it looks great
