Aspen Mountain vs. Aspen Highlands : r Aspen - Reddit Highlands is a bit higher and has longer runs in general whereas at Aspen, there are few options towards the bottom of the mountain and would require the gondola (or 3 lifts) to get back up, so most folks hang out at the top which is pretty short Personally I think Highlands is nicer, but the convenience and novelty of Aspen can't be beat
