Service = Repair in this context I would check for any other codes from the engine, etc If there a bunch of codes all of a sudden (rather than a single airbag code or two) replace the ignition switch as it is causing a brownout and goofing up
Whats the deal with the 2500s with 6 lug? - The Truck Stop The Burbs were kind odd They made an 8 lug 1500 with an Air Bag My understanding to get the air bag the gvrw had to be below 8600 So they put 3 42s in the rear to (the gears lowered the gvrw), added an air bag, and I am pretty sure an egr (vin S) I have seen a couple of them for sale Do not know if they made a "light duty", ie 6 lug 2500 3
Airbags??? - The Truck Stop My 98 K2500 doesn't have air bags and David's (88GMCTruck) 99 K2500 doesn't have it either (athough he switched to a non funcitional air bag wheel for the feel) Suburbans are classified as passenger vehicles so would fall under the airbag passenger vehicle rules

Poor man ways to soften the ride quality on 1 ton 2wd Crew Cab the air bag lift kits we have used on some of the pickup's at my work aren't terribly expensive, those are only used as helper bags but I wonder if those would work for full time support if most of the leafs are removed in the rear
