pond yacht plans - The WoodenBoat Forum I picked up a pond yacht this past weekend It belonged to a neighbor who gave it to us "kids" 25 years ago So, on the trip home to visit the grandparents, I retrieved it from the basement and son and I hope to give "Bourtai" new life on Walden Pond Here are some pictures: Anyone out there know anything about this boat???

At the high end, you could spend considerably less in materials for a full sized sailboat for 2-3 full sized people!

Deck Camber? - The WoodenBoat Forum My copy of Skene's Elements of Yacht Design says to use 1 4 to 3 8 inch of camber per foot of beam, and it gives the geometric layout So I did a 4' template with 1 1 16" camber (the light colored wood) and another 8' template with 2 3 16" camber (my bad measurement, but close, on the meranti)) however the two templates don't come anywhere near the same curvature, as one can seen in the photo
