Holy Crap. . The Weber Signature Alnico Speaker has a 7 oz magnet . . . Ok, but if we look at the 12" Weber Alnico 12A150 it uses a 40 oz magnet and puts out 25 watts The Singature 12" Alnico is also 25 watts but only uses a 7 oz magnet In looking at Weber other offerings, however, I see that some of the Vintage line (not the sign line) also uses 7 oz magnets on the Alnicos
Celestion Gold vs Weber Alnico Blue Dog vs Weber Alnico Silver Bell in . . . It's supposed to be a higher wattage Blue, but I much prefer a Blue (more mids) The Weber Alnico Blue Dogs are a little thicker in the mid-range to lower-mids and I feel would be a better fit for the Black Cat FWIW: I typically prefer Alnico speakers in all my amps, but I recently picked up a Bad Cat Cub 15r with the Bad Cat V30
Weber Revibe Grounding Issues - The Gear Page New member here I am most of the way through a Weber Revibe kit build I decided to use Jeff Gehring's alternate grounding scheme and got the board prepped with a #14 gauge wire as my star ground in the same place as Jeff's in the build pics on Weber's site Question #1, does a star ground get
Weber Power Transformers - The Gear Page Hello, Does anyone have experience with the use of Weber power transformers in 1960s Fender amps? They are about half of the price of other brands Any experience-based opinions would be greatly appreciated Thanks
Weber Z-matcher - does it affect tone and response?he Enter the Weber Z-matcher it seems like it could do just what I want it to; allow me to set the amp at 16 ohm and match the input load of the Z-matcher to 16 ohm, then set the output for 8 ohm to match the cab But I somehow remain skeptical that it could do this without interfering with the tone and feel of the amp cab combination?
Weber Z-Matcher Impedance Matcher - Opinions? - The Gear Page I use the impedance matching on my Aracom attenuator daily, as I use a lot of different cabs and speakers It was a real game-changer for me If I didn't have that, I'd definitely have the Z-Matcher But if you're only using one cab, and don't plan on swapping speakers in and out, it would make more sense to rewire the cab as HTF recommended
5E3 speaker, I know, I know - Telecaster Guitar Forum Weber 12a125 - I know people love this speaker but I didn't like it AT ALL sounded raspy and nasely Maybe that's the 5E3 thing but it's not the thing I like Click to expand Was it the 125 or the 125A? As @clydethecat notes, they're different -- the "A" is the one that's famous in the 5E3
Has Anyone Used The Weber California Speaker? - The Gear Page I have a Weber California alnico 15" (paper cap) in one cab and a JBL D130 15" (aluminum) in the other, I think I prefer the Weber for most applications, it's a bit more open sounding, not quite as brittle hard to tell as neither is really broken in
Weber MASS 150 review . . . | Page 2 | The Gear Page Sorry to bring this thread back alive, but I just received my Weber MASS 150W and indeed the pots switches are of questionnable quality Even worse, it's possible to destroy your power amp section if you're unlucky  It almost happened with me when I was trying it out and cranked my
