Activities Itinerary - SEATRU As a volunteer, you are part of SEATRU team whose mission is to monitor every turtle that lands on the beach to nest, ensure that the turtles nest undisturbed, all nests are protected and hatchling production is maximized
History - SEATRU In addition to carrying out scientific research, SEATRU plays a direct role in regional sea turtle conservation, including the long-term sea turtle monitoring and conservation project based at the Chagar Hutang Turtle Sanctuary on Pulau Redang
Eligibility Cost - SEATRU SEATRU is committed to looking after the welfare of our staff, volunteers and researchers while at Chagar Hutang Turtle Sanctuary Chagar Hutang is an isolated area in Pulau Redang where conditions are less than optimal; there are no communication network available, minimal electricity and wooden cabins
How to Book? - SEATRU UMT Sea Turtle Conservation Program is managed by Conservation Management Solutions Sdn Bhd, a commercial wing appointed by SEATRU (Sea Turtle Research Unit) to oversee the operational aspects of the volunteer program
Chagar Hutang - SEATRU This beach is closed to public after being gazetted as a turtle sanctuary by the Terengganu state government in 2005, only Sea Turtle Research Unit (SEATRU) researchers and volunteers are allowed on the beach
