Terminology Question . . . Two Pair, or Aces Up? Any two pair can be announced as "XXX up" where XXX is aces, kings, queens or whatever It comes from games without community cards like draw and to the lesser degree stud, as a way of announcing two pair and at the same time saying what the highest pair is It is also possible to announce two pair as "Aces over sevens", or "Kings over nines"
