Springfield Armory 1911s Any Good? - Glock Talk Springfield has different models of 1911's which vary in price from a little over $500 up to $1300 in the production range Obviously the higher end's like the TRP and TM have more features but the GI and Mil-Specs are also good guns for the price

My TRP was worth the extra over the Loaded I paid $1100 vs $925 I prefer front-strap checkering, and that's at least a $150 option from most after-market shops In addition the TRP had a better finish, nicer grips, and the fit on barrel and bushing was better than the pair of Loaded models that sat next to it in the display case
