Sintra - day trip or overnight? - Rick Steves Travel Forum Sintra is a beautiful city, very romantic Its palaces, castle and gardens make it unique To visit Sintra and all its palaces you need at least 2 days, but you can have the feeling of the city with just 1 day trip At night Sintra is asleep ;) Everything is closed after 7pm You will be better off sleeping in Lisbon I hope I've helped you Mafalda

Sintra -- Pena Palace, Regaleira, Monserrate - Rick Steves We did National Palace of Pena, Quinta de Regaleira, Castelo dos Mouros and Pena Palace all in one day approximately in 10 1 2 hours We went inside all of them I think you can definitely skip the inside of Regaleria but I would recommend going inside the Palaces We did all this with a private guide design your own tour through Viator The only downside was that we would have liked to have

My favorite trip to Sintra was the one in which I did a tour With a tour, I didn’t have to deal with buses or Ubers, or try to determine where to go, etc I had plenty of time to explore the places we visited, too I, personally, don’t think the inside of Peña is worth the time or fighting the crowds The
