Portugal tour-day trip to Sintra? - Rick Steves Travel Forum Has anyone done a day trip to Sintra? The couple we are traveling with gets there the day before the tour starts so our only option is to go to Sintra the day the tour starts I don’t know if there is enough time to take the train over there, see a couple or the famous castles, and then get back in time For the first meeting Thoughts?

Sintra - day trip or overnight? - Rick Steves Travel Forum Sintra is a beautiful city, very romantic Its palaces, castle and gardens make it unique To visit Sintra and all its palaces you need at least 2 days, but you can have the feeling of the city with just 1 day trip At night Sintra is asleep ;) Everything is closed after 7pm You will be better off sleeping in Lisbon I hope I've helped you Mafalda
Sintra main sights - Rick Steves Travel Forum Sintra is a small town and parking is limited We stayed there for three nights a couple of years ago We took a taxi from our hotel in town up the hill to the Pena Palace for a timed entry and walked down to the Moorish Castle and walked down from there into town
Is it worth staying in Sintra for 2 nights instead of just staying in . . . The question is: should we book an Airbnb in Lisbon and just take the train back and forth to Sintra on both days, or should we divide up and stay in Sintra for the first 2 nights and Lisbon for the next 3? Is there much to do and see in the evenings in Sintra? We are currently leaning toward staying in Lisbon for the entire 5 nights

Sintra -- Pena Palace, Regaleira, Monserrate - Rick Steves We did National Palace of Pena, Quinta de Regaleira, Castelo dos Mouros and Pena Palace all in one day approximately in 10 1 2 hours We went inside all of them I think you can definitely skip the inside of Regaleria but I would recommend going inside the Palaces We did all this with a private guide design your own tour through Viator The only downside was that we would have liked to have
