Looking into finicky foolers Love my non-hook setting, original foolers for dead sticking with a 500 series baitfeeder reel on a Jason Mitchell meat stick They pack down wonderfully I would highly recommend their hole covers as well The only issue I have with them, as with any tip-up, is that they are great for live bait presentations, but not so much for anything else
Finicky Fooler - iceshanty. com Hi, my name is Skorpion and I have a gear addiction… I have a set of 5 finicky foolers They are a blast to run early and late season, or anytime it’s not so cold out that the line on your reel is freezing up after a fish or two More and more of these warm ice days every year it seems… running strait fluorocarbon can reduce freeze up I like to run them with small Okuma bait runner
13 Descent in line reel - iceshanty. com 13 Descent in line reel After looking at my reel a little closer I found the drop rate adjustment is just a little rubber pin that runs against the side of the spool You turn the little knob to adjust how far the pin sticks out At least on my eagle claw reel Logged jbird68
2B and Elliot rods - iceshanty. com None with reel seats? Dude, you gotta get over ripping on all these rod manufacturers Some people like me like the Tennessee handles If you don’t like it, yea well Get what you want Your response was no help to me Logged
Heritage laker tip up storage Picked up a loring packbasket this season, could easily fit 10 heritage lakers The liner interior has 5 huge pockets I also tie the hook up with thick rubber band, similar concept to the velcro straps, just place rubber band in hook, go around the reel and put the other end of the band on the reel handle or wing nut
frabill straight line ice rod The 101 is just a standard fly reel and a little less pricey The 241 is a 2 4-1 ratio multiplier and more expensive Most people use some sort of backing on them then spool up with about 50 to 70 yards of whatever line you normaly use The idea behind all this is to eliminate line twist which can be a deal breaker with finicky panfish
Perch sweetheart. Thoughts? They are spinning rods with reel seats, but I've got them set up with bait casting reels The best thing about the Thorne Bros Sweetheart blanks are that they do not roll torsion over with a bait casting set up The line guides and blank stay true and straight I plan on fishing these this winter and see how well they perform as a bait casting
