Mobil 1 Zinc and Phosphorous levels guide | BobIsTheOilGuy Mobil 1 has a link showing Zinc, Phosphorous and Manufacturer approvals in a nice table, linked below Interestingly, the 0w20 offerings in the various flavours, with two exceptions ( M1 EP HM 0w20 and M1 HM 0w20 ), have lower PP and ZN levels than the other grades, including 5w20's Wonder
Mobil 1 - good, bad, not worth it? | BobIsTheOilGuy Well, I use the Mobil 1 Turbo Diesel Truck 5w40 and feel it is the best oil I have ever used I am not sure about the whole line of products but it is the only one we will be using in the two Volvos we have I am a fan of Mobil 1 but the other brands are good as well and becomes a toss-up for price choice
Mobil 1 application in small engines | BobIsTheOilGuy Mobil does not make a synthetic SAE 30 weight oil, at least, not one that is marketed that way They could very well market their Mobil 1 10W-30 as a straight 30 weight oil I do not believe any of the Mobil 1 10W-30 formulations have any VI improver additive in them, so all that would matter is whether their viscosity measurement when hot
Mobil 1 vs Valvoline Synthetic - Bob is the Oil Guy This topic has been beaten to death Look closely at the claims, they aren't claiming to be better than M1, they're saying they did 40% better in one test, and then trying to imply that they're therefore better Most of the other claims are purely based on the fact that MaxLife full synthetic is SN rated, versus M1 HM which is SL rated
Mobil 1 Classic 10w30 (High-Zinc Formula) | BobIsTheOilGuy The year range makes no sense to me I would have to guess cars older than 1951 would also do fine with this oil, and I am surprised it goes all of the way to '96, since I thought oils like this shouldn't be used with cat converters

Guys, I currently have a '17 Silverado with the 6L80 6 speed transmission I'd like to do a "Drain Fill" was wondering if I can use the is Mobil 1™ Synthetic LV ATF HP Fluid instead of the Dexron VI Will this fluid mix OK not Cause any issues? Truck has about 39k on it now I would do a
Valvoline Extended Protection Full Synthetic vs. Mobil 1 Extended . . . It's not so much of it being a "thick vs thin" argument, as it is people believing and stating that it's the "engineers" who are the one's recommending and pushing all these water thin oils in modern engines It's not It's all being driven by CAFE mileage standards the manufactures are all trying to meet, and or exceed
PureOne vs. Mobil1 filter - which is better? | BobIsTheOilGuy Both are of similar construction i e Metal end caps , silicon ADBV etc The differences are in the filter media as the PureOne is a paper cellulose media and the Mobil 1 is a Paper Cellulose Synthetic material hybrid I would just use the Mobil filter as you would a PureOne in your regular oci, no need to continue using it onto your next one
Mobil 1 10W-30 in lawn mower engine | BobIsTheOilGuy Mobile 1 10W30 will be fine I had a 2002 15 h p Kawasaki powered riding mower I ran whatever I had in the garage from 5W30, 10W30, 10W40, to 15W40 in it and often mixed in any combination to put enough oil together to do an oil change The machine cut three half acre lots with a 10:1 grade every few days during summer
