An analysis of Mello. The genius who worked around perfection . . . - Reddit An event in the story that can make Mello’s emotional strength somewhat weaker than Light, L, and Near is when he confronted Soichiro Unlike Light, who would quickly react on the spot to anything L said to him but retain his composure, but Mello was most likely a little shaken by having his real name revealed
Thoughts on Mello? : r deathnote - Reddit Personally i love mello, his design is not just cool but fucking awesome and i like his backstory, the emotion behind it and the rivalry with near, along with his dynamic with Matt
Mello and Near are Terrible, Change My Mind : r deathnote - Reddit During Mello's portion of the story there's a definite tonal shift into major action, with shootouts, kidnappings, missiles, the Death Note getting into someone else's hands, etc, but after we focus on Near we're basically back to the status quo of dueling geniuses

Why do Mellos crimes and atrocities often get overlooked? It doesn't help that the anime cuts a lot of content that depicts some of Mello's atrocities (such as Mello continuing to threaten Soichiro's and Sayu's lives with the Death Note even after Sayu's kidnapping) but even the crimes that he still committed in the anime get a magical hand wave once people remember his sacrifice to stop Kira
An analysis of Near + Mello gt; L : r deathnote - Reddit When Near said that Mello and himself working together surpass L, despite both of them being individually inferior to him Is this true? I am asking because Near says “Mello and him working together”, but they weren’t working together Mello specifically did something Near didn’t want him to do (albeit it did end up helping Near) The point is, had Near and Mello worked together
Question about Mellos real name [SPOILERS FOR ANIME] : r . . . - Reddit Furthermore, if Mello were to die that would be proof that Light was Kira, as the only people with a book who know Mello's real name would be the task force and Light So he tells Takada Mello's name as a contingency in case something happens, so she writes it down just in time for her own life to be ended
How smart was mello compared to the others? : r deathnote Mello was the one who figured that one of the rules in the Death Note was fake Not even L was able to guess that While Near might beat him in purely logical or deductive skills, in overall intelligence I believe Mello wins Pretty much all kids in Wammy's House were presented with complex problems to train their cognitive abilities so they were all way smarter than average In addition Mello
Did we ever find out Ls real name? Also Mello and N? - Reddit L's name is listed as "L Lawliet" (not sure which is first last due to the Japanese ordering) In the final episode (sorry never read the manga story), Mikami wrote down Near's name as Nate River I don't remember Mello's off the top of my head
Why Mello did that in end? : r deathnote - Reddit Why exactly Mello kidnapped Takada? How much he knew and planned? Did he orchestrated his death for near to get real? Or he was just like, "if I kidnap Takada, then by information I will go after x kira, take notebook and write Light's name before nears organized meeting " Archived post New comments cannot be posted and votes cannot be cast
