History – Little Brown Church of Sunol A BRIEF HISTORY OF THE LITTLE BROWN CHURCH OF SUNOL On October 4, 1884, according to historic records, the church was “up and partly enclosed and the floorboards laid loosely” when the first worship service was held at what was then called the Congregational Church of Sunol

Little Brown Church of Sunol helped us prepare the church and celebrate the Birth of Jesus Several of us enjoyed decorating the sanctuary (and eating the accompanying refreshments – especially Helene’s homemade candy) The family trio of Barbara, Gary, and Mary performed special music for the Christmas Eve service, and Mary sang a beautiful solo of “O Holy Night ”
