LaRue PredatOBR | Snipers Hide Forum LaRue announced their PredatOBR at SHOT It's the lightweight PredatAR chassis with the heavy OBR barrel and port selector They'll offer both 7 62 and 5 56 versions Looks like a winner I wonder if they'd sell just the 5 56 upper to drop onto the LaRue lower I got back in the pre-OBR days… —Andreas
A tale of three Larues (Large frame review Part 1 - OBR) The new Larue HP Bolts also have the wide ejector that spreads the pressure more evenly eliminating ejector swipes even when running high pressure loads and the weight of the LT BCG at 1lb 2oz works really well when running suppressed I did not know they were using sprung firing pins in the Large Frames
Opinions on Larue OBR? | Snipers Hide Forum The newer LaRue barrel OBRs are kinda hit or miss it seems, some are great (Sub-MOA) and some are alright (1 5ish MOA) The SIG 716 DMRs are kinda in the same boat, had 5 of them come through an LE class last year and they where all solid 0 5-0 75 MOA rifles but they all had been back to SIG 2 or 3 times before hand due to poor accuracy
Recent Experience with LaRue Barrels | Snipers Hide Forum MM Genesis1984 M May 7, 2021 #2 The predatar barrel is not a light-weight barrel For decades the de facto standard for what constitutes a light-weight 16” AR-15 barrel has been the “pencil” barrel found on the Colt 6520 6720 That barrel has a stripped weight of 1 pound, 6 ounces The 16" predatar barrel has a stripped weight of 1
K-Bars The Larue Battle Knife!!! - Snipers Hide TX May 27, 2024 #3 “A 0 625" wide choil prevents the user's fingers from accidentally resting on the blade's edge, especially useful when placing a finger forward of the quillon to remove the blade from stubborn objects (like a skull) ” Glad to see they managed to incorporate their Xtran extraction technology into the knife, too
New Rifle from LaRue - the MRGG-S 6. 5 Creedmoor 1 b The 6 5CM PredatOBR gas block isn't even adjustable for some reason The 308 and the 260 are, but not the 6 5CM No idea why 2) MLOK totally different handguard size shape and most likely weight (I bet they shaved off a ton of weight just by redoing the handguard) 3) Lower is full ambi w different parts, too
LaRue Tactical, Good or Bad? | Snipers Hide Forum "The Great Wall of China was originally created to keep Mark LaRue out It failed misserably" (At least they tried) "Mark LaRue is ten feet tall, weighs two-tons, breathes fire, and could eat a hammer and take a shotgun blast standing " "The Fanboys known as the Horsemen of the Apocalypse actually live in Mark Larue's nutsack"
LaRue OBR 556 review range report | Snipers Hide Forum Texas Nov 4, 2010 #1 Review and Range Report - lengthy, but hopefully informative LaRue OBR 5 56 (Model LT-15, Optimized Battle Rifle) Background: I was all set to build my own very accurate mid-range AR type rifle when I received an email from LaRue saying they were coming out with a 5 56mm version of the OBR
