says its 100% but its not - Adobe Illustrator - Creative COW Illustrator groups the shapes together even though one shape is no longer there All you need to do is select the image and ungroup (Command Shift G) and then the opacity will show up properly as not 100% I hope this helps somebody! I have Illustrator 5 so maybe they’ve fixed it in Illustrator 6 – I hope so!
Lines won’t join - Adobe Illustrator - Creative COW Lines will not join if the paths are in different groups Make sure they are on the same layer, not grouped and not turned into a compound object “Ungroup” and “release compound object” are two separate commands, which you need to do until the commands grey out, meaning you can’t do them any further In some odd cases you may need to actually select and cut the object out of a group

How to invert mask in Illustrator (equivalent of AE’s add subtract)? I am working in Illustrator after having worked in After Effects on motion graphics for a while and I’m trying to figure out a similar effect When you create a mask in After Effects, you can go to that mask and choose to add subtract it, which will invert it Therefore, if the mask is set to ‘add’ the area inside of the mask will be hidden
How to invert put into negative only part of an image - Adobe . . . I’m trying to create a logo in illustrator (obviously) but i’m a newbie to the software and i’ve hit a brick wall with what i’m trying to acheive… I’ve got a black cross spanning the whole canvas, overlaid on the horizontal line with text, also in black I want the text (where the two elements cross over overlap) to invert and show white, so the text swaps from black on a white
