Company News:
  • The Real Jason Jacobs - BladeForums. com
Because of a post from 13 years ago continuing to get circulation, I'd like to explain that I am Joshua Jacobs, the son of Jason Jacobs I can and will verify that we make knives because, unlike those who frequented this forum 13 years ago, I not only saw but partook in the making of said knives
  • Why was this knife discontinued? (Cold Steel Triple Action)
I have heard these knives called “Jacobs Ladder” knives They are overall fun to play with but imho mostly a toy Unlike a balisong which is a great practical design Click to expand Yes!! I have that Perrin, great little knife, fun to play with too I've also played with the Tanto Triple Action, I quite enjoyed it
  • j. (jason) Jacobs knifemakers work - BladeForums. com
Jacobs is buying pre-made blades from one of the materials suppliers I remember reading a post a while back that mentioned what supplier he was getting the blades from, but I can't remember right now
  • Oregon Knifemakers List - BladeForums. com
I am also looking for an Oregon knifemaker to repair restore an heirloom Remington R1123 pocketknife It is a pretty valuable knife but in fairly rough condition and I would like to have it mildly customized with a Damascus blade to replace the one that's broken I'm in Tualatin, but would be willing to travel an hour or more to find the right craftsman Any takers?

  • Buck 118 D2 Steel - BladeForums. com
I know D2 is supposed to be hard to sharpen I've heard that the Buck 440C blades that were reprofiled to the Edge 2000 were easier to sharpen I have a 118 in D2 and I'm wondering if the profile is Edge 2000 and if that would make it easier to sharpen than other makers knives? Strange
