ISC replacement options. - GalantVR4. org Seems the ISC driver kursploded from a short, which explains why it was unplugged The OEM replacement seems to be big money Has anyone had any luck with the one offered by Rock Auto? Are there better options I'm not finding? I have yet to OHM mine out but with the motor unplugged and the damage I'd say there's a good chance it's bad
Open Loop Symptoms? - GalantVR4. org My ISC was only reading 47ohms on one coil, other three were in spec at 30ohms That small increase in coil resistance knocked out part of the ISC control circuit
Troubleshooting ECU drivers and the ISC - GalantVR4. org I'll test the ISC tomorrow to confirm it's bad, but suffice it to say something bad happened and completely fried the ISC driver The ECU seemed fine up until recently, when I installed the WB I mentioned this to Thomas, who seemed to think the WB install couldn't have caused the issue That was a relief
What throttle body for GVR4? - GalantVR4. org Yes newbie question here What other throttle body will mate to GVR4 I am looking to get one locally to remove the isc and plug the coolant line Would N T throttle work ok? or not because of the TB elbow? detail list would be greatly appreciated
Idle surge needs help - GalantVR4. org Recently the car has have some idle surge problems for a long time and I don't know what going wrong with it I have been replacing the ISC (used) and one of the IC that used to control the ISC motor couple years ago, the idle worked properly at that time, but for some reason, now it is idling
ISC Failed - GalantVR4. org I want my ISC because it makes the car much nicer to drive in traffic and it saves on the footwork needed to keep it from stalling I had no ISC for a long time and it sucked having to balance between lights being on, fans being on, etc vs having a livable idle speed plus during the winter its 30-40 degrees in the morning and 60-80 in the
ISC??? - GalantVR4. org The ISC does this as a stepper motor under control of the ECU, which can finetune the idle rpm The Fast Idle Air Valve does this as a very coarse adjustment based on temperature
Test ECU Injector Drivers - GalantVR4. org I had a 2nd ISC go out this weekend and I'm unsure how to determine if it took out the ECU driver Is there a test I can do on the ECU to determine whether coil pair A and B are still good? The car is idle surging even with the ISC unplugged, so I'm leaning toward the ECU is fried again
Switching on headlights causes rpms to drop dramatically. If the ISC isn't the problem it will be worth having a spare anyway Can't help much here but if your comments in other threads on your harness having the pins incorrectly swapped and your comment about not having an IPS It's hard to conclude there really was a problem with the ISC How are you attaching the new style ISC to the car harness?
