Springfield 111 vs 116 ci | Indian Motorcycle Forum My guess is that the 116 is no better on emissions than the 111, but Indian didn't want to go through the Euro certification process with the 111 when it's become a "minority" engine I think they should have settled on the 116 for all Thunderstrokes years ago, but their Marketing department says they have to have something to differentiate models
