Overdrive slipping | 4. 6L Based Powertrains | Crownvic. net I own a 2004 that had the same problem I remove the valve body and found that the retaining clip for the overdrive servo pin had a broken piece of it and got in the valve body I went to my local Lkq got a valve body a clip and now the overdrive works great
