Hot wire 120v but receptacle tester shows nothing - Reddit I tested the line vs load wires and found the hot one but when I went to install the outlet, it still did not work I used the receptacle tester but nothing lights up I assumed it might be an open neutral but would that be the case if nothing lights up on the tester? I tested the tester on another outlet and it worked fine
