Confused about Groove Tubes Rating Scale | The Gear Page Replacing the tubes in my Michael Landau Hot Rod Deville (one 6L6 went south) Amp came with matched set of GT Premium 6L6-R tubes (Standard Russian 5881's I assume) They were matched at 5, and had the letters ADN under the word performance
Groove Tube Trio First Impressions. - The Gear Page It's a really useful tool I'm surprised Groove tubes left this off Mean channel still sounds great Scream channel is great if you only use it for screaming leads as many have said, it has an unusual voicing and a lot of "scritch" built into the tone It's not white noise solid state gain, like the MP-1 but something else

Does everyone change the stock Groove Tubes out of . . . - The Gear Page Groove Tubes are relabeled Sovteks for the most part, which are owned by New Sensor, better known as Electro Harmonix Sovtek's are hard working tubes and last a long time, but may not be the most toneful tube you ever played I prefer the reissued Mullard's or Tung Sol's but I will not use JJ's IMO they are too apt to fail
Groove Tubes 6L6GE Reissue Tubes, Hype, Or Real Deal Groove Tubes made three attempts to recreate three iconic tubes--the Mullard EL-34 6CA7, the Mullard ECC83 12AX7, and the GE 6L6GC The first two were failures froth with inconsistencies and high failure rates, as stated by Myles and others, with the first run of the GT-6L6GE recreation being the most successful
Groove tubes - The Gear Page "Groove Tubes bought it's present building in August of 2000 The new GT home has close to 12,000 feet of office, lab, and manufacturing space and is located in the small town of San Fernando, California
Tung Sol 12AX7 Vs JJ ECC803S - The Gear Page Interesting this thread popped up today, the mailman just dropped off 3 tung sol 12ax7 for my hotrod deville 4x10 Although i havent tried the jjs the improvement over groove tubes is huge, ill never go back The touch sensitivity is fantastic
USA made Groove Tubes 6L6s - The Gear Page I used the ge 6L6 groove tubes i put in my 90's fender blues deluxe sounded great to my ears To be fair I also just replaced the stock speaker with a Weber 12a150w, so im not sure how much was the tubes or the speaker
