Stihl Ignition Module Air Gap. . . - Arborist, Chainsaw Tree Work Forum Next, the shop manual says to remove the setting gage, and measure the resulting air gap which is 0 008" - 0 012" Sounds easy enough Here's the problem, the stihl setting gage seems to set the air gap too tight, like 0 004" measured between the ignition module arms and the flywheel magnets using a feeler gage set
AC Delco R45TS gap out of the box - Team Chevelle Test engine was a 253 Cu in V6 Stock ign, 045 plug gap, it made 168 hp With Platinum plugs, same 045 gap, it made 171 hp Split Fire plugs, same 171 HP With surface gap plugs, 172 5 hp Then Jacobs installed one of his ign systems With same stock plugs, same 045 gap, hp increased to 180 5 With three specialty plugs, hp dropped 1 5-2hp
Performer RPM Airgap?? - Team Chevelle so unless your full blown competition and want the extra expense the Edelbrock RPM Air Gap is a solid choice The Jegs manifold fell short in HP and torque in the test 1970 El Camino 383 Stroker, 10 42 to 1 Compression, 62CC aluminum heads 510 520 lift 230 236 duration roller cam, 2800 stall converter 3 73 gears with 28” tall tires
Torque Converter to Flywheel Clearance - Team Chevelle TH350 Stock converter to a BluePrint 350 w BP Flexplate (new) I have done the research and just wanted to confirm what I have read online with the knowledge base here When I go to bolt the TC and the flywheel together, there is a gap of 210 as measured with feeler gauges (see pic below)
Door, quarter and fender gaps - Team Chevelle Below are pictures i took of the passenger side door gap after i moved the door back as far as i could to get the best possible door to quarter gap Forgive the super ugly condition of the car Forget the measurement but the door to quarter gap comes out to less than 1 4" except at the top of the door where it seems to widen
Real world HEI spark plug gaps - Team Chevelle If yu still see a specification for an incorrect giant spark plug gap for an HEi for any of the HEI's, DROP THE GAP DOWN TO THE PROPER SPECIFICATION OF 045 MAXIMUM All this was done in the divisions that designed the HEI, here in America, NOT some place in the middle of the Gobi Desert, nor Antarctica, nor the moon, but, here in The United
Have anyone filed piston oil-rings? - Team Chevelle The oil rings are way bigger than the bore size I am building a 454 with 60 overbore (468) and now I am at the point of filing rings The rings are Mahle 4 310 + 005 file fit rings and the instructions states minimum gap for the oil ring to be 0015 The top and bottom rings are pretty
Vortec Heads- Plugs and Gap - Team Chevelle I don't know what the proper plug for Vortec heads is but IMO you don't need any more than 035 gap The more gap you use, the more likely the voltage will find a lesser resistance path to ground before the plug I don't think you'd be able to detect a performance or mileage difference between 045 and 035 I have an MSD 6AL and run 035 FWIW
Spark Plug Gap - BBC - Team Camaro Tech Things that determine resistance is the plug wire conductor (metal conducts better than carbon impregnated fiberglass strands), the spark gap, and the resistance in the plug (the R in the designation of an AC-delco plug denotes an internal air gap to prevent power from bleeding off too soon)
Defrost Duct Gap-Normal? (Pics) - Team Chevelle This is the gap I'm curious about as well, though I dont think its the gap the original thread creator is talking about The center of the dash above the heater control A C duct going into the branch has about 1 2" of space on each side, or 1" smaller diameter on the vent side of the joint
