Where I live there is lots of obsidian, which is basically volcanic glass A lot of it is weathered and rounded off, but some of it is broken, making a sharp edge I also plan to modify the file on my old Leatherman to use the edge as a striker
striker wont spark - Bushcraft USA Forums I have an old fire steel I got a few years back and recently I got a few chunks of flint to make some sparks The flints are pretty sharp, but for some reason when I strike it against the steel it won't generate a spark Does anyone know why this could be?
