Daughters Ear Piercing bled when studs taken out - Mumsnet They also had a point at end, which I am pretty sure is to make them go through ear easier when piercing , I tried to put the studs in my own ear (been pierced for 38 years) and couldnt get it in, but i am sure that when I had my ears pierced, with a gun the studs were just normal ends and not pointed and you could put them back in

I had my ears done at Claire’s when I was a teenager, and one ear got so infected the earring back (huge butterfly back) got stuck inside the hole itself Eventually healed but now there are lumpy bits which is apparently shattered cartilage commonly caused by piercing guns
