Gilded Lotus - when is it good? : r EDH - Reddit As for Gilded Lotus, it is just too much mana to play in Mizzix Yes, Mizzix does need a lot of colored mana, particularly blue, but paying 5 for a mana rock (and not getting 1-2 experience counters) really isn't optimal at all, even for a rock that gives you 3 mana of one color I strongly prefer the 2 CMC rocks that help you get Mizzix out on T3
Gilded Lotus : r EDH - Reddit I’m thinking of adding Gilded Lotus to the deck I am a noob still, so I’m wondering 1) does it essentially act as a sol ring that can be used as 3 colorless mana and 2) is it worth it in a gruul deck where the main purpose is to just get the commander out? E g can I tap gilded lotus to cast Azusa, Lost but Seeking?
Gilded Lotus or Gilded Bogus? A statistical analysis of 5-drops Mulliganing away a Gilded Lotus hand is always an option The chance of being able to cast Gilded Lotus on turn 5 is about 85% (given that the hand is otherwise keepable) for a regular deck composition so you may want to consider keeping a hand with more mana sources in it than usually if you find that Gilded Lotus is in it
So, thoughts on Gilded Lotus? : r magicTCG - Reddit So, thoughts on Gilded Lotus? I am just wondering what you guys think of Gilded Lotus as a successor to, of course, the Black Lotus, as well as usage ideas and strategies Archived post New comments cannot be posted and votes cannot be cast
Almost every other Lotus card is better than the new one Bad early, great middle-late [ [Nyx Lotus]]: probably the newest Lotus on our set it drops a turn before gilded but comes into play taps and is the only Lotus that has the ability to essentially tap for nothing Incredibly deck reliant and does not work well in multicolor Bad early, great middle late
Which decks do you put thran dynamo and gilded lotus in? Gilded lotus is insane in my manabase because you can use it to cast phyrexian metamorph or sculpting steel for free, or net 1 mana with copy artifact Being able to untap them with voltaic key, tezzeret the seeker, and mind over matter make for some pretty splashy plays too Long story short, run them all!
[DOM] Gilded Lotus : r EDH - Reddit gilded lotus is often times bad in edh decks a lot of decks run it when they shouldn't A standard block reprint will deaden the price so it'll be cheap As i think it gets some price pressure from modern Ad Naus as well
[MCD] Gilded Lotus Thran Dynamo : r CompetitiveEDH - Reddit They enter untapped (arguably, lotus and Dynamo only cost 2 and 1 respectively due to the available mana the turn you cast them) I'd say that this is a misconception While both in the end only cost 2 and 1 mana, their initial investment remains unchanged tapping out completely for 4-5 mana is a hell of a lot to get countered or blown up
Which would you say is better, Thran Dynamo or Gilded Lotus In 95% of decks I would say [ [Gilded Lotus]] would be a higher priority than the Dynamo While it may come out a turn later unless you are running artifact heavy or colorless having Triple Mana fixing on your beck and call will make it so practically anything in your deck can be cast on Turn 6 assuming you didn't miss a land drop
