I have a Janome 4612TM if that makes a difference in recommendations I have Joann's, Hobby Lobby, and Michaels near me as well as a very small local quilt shop I have no idea what brands of thread she sells in her shop though And do I use the same brand type of thread for both piecing and quilting?

    Just to chime in, my first 3 quilts were made strictly with Hobby Lobby, Joanns and WM fabric They have been used heavily with pets and grandkids, washed frequently, run thru the dryer until dry and are holding up just fine
