Our People - Doras Fiona McCaul | Direct Support Manager Fiona joined Doras as a Legal Officer in 2015, having graduated from the University of Galway with a First Class Postgraduate Degree in Irish Law She is now the organisation’s Direct Support Manager, overseeing a team of direct support and outreach workers
Who we are - Doras Since its foundation, Doras has evolved from being exclusively Limerick-based to one that now combines in-person and phone support services with campaigning and advocacy at a national as well as local level
Our Story - Doras Doras was founded by a small group of dedicated volunteers in the year 2000, in response to the arrival of asylum seekers in Limerick The name Doras was chosen to symbolise an open door, welcoming new communities to Limerick and Ireland, and as an acronym for Development Organisation for Refugees and Asylum Seekers
Governance Funding - Doras As an organisation, Doras is in compliance with the Charities Governance Code This outlines the minimum standards that should be met to effectively manage and control the organisation
