  • Garmin zumo xt isnt recognized on basecamp - Adventure Rider
My new Zumo XT is connected to Garmin Express and must be connected in some way to Basecamp because Basecamp downloaded the maps from the XT However, it doesn't show under "My Devices" or in Finder on the Mac Garmin says some GPS units (like the XT) may not be recognized and needs "special software", but doesn't say what that might be
  • Nav V and Base Camp for dummies: How to import tracks and convert to . . .
Between my almost complete lack of knowledge regarding GPS devices of any kind and the woeful lack of information in the Nav V owners manual, I got way off track trying to use Base Camp to import known tracks to my Nav V I got a lot of things sorted out with the help of a friend on the phone talking me thru NAV V manipulation while he did similar tasks on his Zumo XT Im just trying to leave
  • OpenTopoMaps and Garmin - Adventure Rider
Basecamp did not recognize the OTM img file nor did the two Garmin devices Basecamp is version 4 6 2 - I went back and loaded an earlier version Anyone have any other ideas? Click to expand I used the same OpenTopoMaps - Mexico map see map name in picture in my previous post
  • OSM Install to Basecamp - Adventure Rider
Hi all I was using garmin openstreetmap nl with OSM Combiner to combine multiple countries and installing on Basecamp With the website not updating
  • BaseCamp vs. Mapsource - Adventure Rider
Basecamp has at least one major advantage over Mapsource and that's that you don't need the actual maps on your computer If you attach a Nuvi, for example, to your PC and fire up BaseCamp it will read and use the maps that are preinstalled on the GPS
  • How I solved cannot unlock maps error after updating my Garmin Zumo . . .
I then saw, on the Garmin site, that you might have to manually unlock maps in basecamp I entered basecamp -> maps ->map options, but this fan clearly showed that all my maps were UNLOCKED Ie, it's not a problem caused by lacking code, but probably a bad file I realized that the map folder didn't show all the maps that were shown in Basecamp
  • Import Google Map into Basecamp - Adventure Rider
I've been through the Basecamp Tutorial (great work!!) but did not see an answer to this question: How do I move a Google Map that I have created into
  • Sending GPX Files to Garmin Zumo XT2 | Adventure Rider
Garmin Basecamp is usually the best editor for Garmin routes, and lets you easily change via points to shaping points It seems to be pretty common for a newer Mac to have trouble connecting with a Garmin device via USB Sometimes running the cable through a USB hub works, which somehow slows or syncs the connection
