Question - How do stars form? | Space. com Forums "Where can we see the birth of stars?" A good question in my thinking is asked here My answer, the most common locations are giant molecular gas clouds like M42 in Orion are tossed around in the literature and reports However, *see* is the problem No astronomers observe or *see* a gas cloud contradict into a ZAMS plot on the H-R diagram Many different observations are compiled to interpret
Question - Are new stars being born. . . | Space. com Forums Terra Australis, the question was asked *Are new stars being born * Cosmology and astronomy today is committed to the BB model so the answer must be *yes* New stars form all the time because of gas clouds and gravitational potential energy in the gas clouds (M42 in Orion is an example)

Stargazing - Betelgeuse will be visible as a Supernova in March of 2025 The problem is the people of Ligo could not pin-point the location of the gravity wave burst yet they have stated it may have come from the Orion Constellation where Betelgeuse resides Gravity waves when traveling through space do not bend around stars as does light, therefore gravity waves would arrive at earth before a Supernova flash
Interstellar Medium and Spectroscopy - Space. com Forums What is your primary concern here KC Strom? Sometimes reddening because of dust is known for various stars as viewed from Earth due to their sky position and ISM dust quantity, one example is M42 in Orion like stars in the Trapezium, yet with my telescopes I can see five stars there too in my eyepieces
Location of common stars in the Milky Way - Space. com Forums I want a similar picture of where Sirius, Polaris, Alpha-Centauri are in the Milky For example, I would like locations for the three stars of Orion's Belt that, I imagine, show them to only appear in a nice straight line, sort of close together from our perspective
The Yellow Sun | Page 2 | Space. com Forums Betelgeuse in Orion is a red colour to the eye and other stars are more white or yellow, or red check some astrophotography images to see if this is true Yes The key to star color is their surface (photosphere) temperatures Betelgeuse is much cooler than the Sun, which is much cooler than, say, Rigel, which has a blue tint
