Buzzards At My Feeder? - Texas Hunting Forum I had buzzards that frequently came by my feeders Years ago when I started trapping heavy, I would throw dead coons off in the woods about 50 yards out So buzzards got accustomed to finding a meal around feeders occasionally I started carrying the dead animals off and ended the problem, somewhat I discovered that they can smell blood really
buzzards - Texas Hunting Forum You can't shoot the Turkey Buzzards, but the Mexican Buzzards aren't protected in Texas according to our area GW We shoot those black headed SOB's every chance we get, just leave the red headed ones alone I shot a yote a couple years ago,and within ten seconds of it hitting the ground there were 5 Mexican buzzards on the ground with it
Buzzards and coyotes - Texas Hunting Forum It happened the other morning when I shot a coyote, who was at the edge of the buzzards With the assumption that coyotes don’t eat corn (no pictures of them doing that), what would draw coyotes to the buzzards? All I can think of is that the buzzards smell like dead things, which draws hopeful coyotes Any other ideas?
Will Feral Hogs feed on a dead Feral Hog? - Texas Hunting Forum After I shoot a hog I drag it 30-40 yards to some thick brush Works out great cause the coyotes and buzzards eat them up in 2-3 days What's interesting is that I ALWAYS have pigs at the feeder the next night There must be 50 coyotes feeding on a stinky carcass 30 yards away, and I have pigs on camera eating corn
Racoon bait? - Texas Hunting Forum The Golden Marlin will get spread everywhere - through the buzzards, through the coyotes and yes, the deer will absorb it also (through their feet) If you do not believe this and think it of little consequence, take some Golden Malrin, spread it on the floor and walk through it barefoot
Coyotes not eating hogs - Texas Hunting Forum Buzzards and Coyotes both know exactly where the one I set out is located, they just aren't eating much of it Spartans ask not how many, but where! Re: Coyotes not eating hogs [ Re: Kodyjoe2016 ] #8132100 01 17 21 12:40 AM
Coyotes not eating hogs - Texas Hunting Forum Similar experience in Central Texas Once it cools down I don't think the meat ferments very quickly and the buzzards can't smell it so well when its cold for multiple days in a row Once it warms up a few days they are on it though Trail cam on dead hogs showed coyotes came in after the buzzards picked the hide and exposed the bones
Hog Disposal - Texas Hunting Forum Between the Coyotes and the Buzzards they are usually gone within a day or two Heck we got a bone yard at the far end of the farm where we dump the cattle that don't make it Hogs and buzzards will strip a whole cow, except for some of the hide, in less than a week
I thought I missed? - Texas Hunting Forum Was turkey hunting this evening and the buzzards were working hard so after my turkey hunt I walked to where all the action was and there he was He was with 2 other big ones and when I shot no jumping or other indication he was hit He was pretty ripe and the flies were awful The little hole was from the bullet and the buzzards did the rest
