Is it worth upgrading your motherboard just for ddr5 Memory The reason being is your CPU and Graphics card would become bottlenecks Yes it would be a complete waste of time - DDR5 will not physically fit in an AM4 motherboard, and an AM4 processor will not fit in a motherboard that supports DDR5! It won't be a bottleneck - it just won't work at all!
