What was the origin of Star Treks Borg? The Borg Queen states openly while interrogating Data that she considers the Borg's biggest weakness to be their remaining vestiges of humanity (humanoidity?), something that the Borg constantly strive to "transcend" as they assimilate and adapt (in contrast to Data, a sentient artifice who seeks to become more human)
What happened to Phloxs Borg cure by the 24th century? I don't think the NX-01 that dealt with the Borg (caused by future events in First Contact) is the same NX-01 that was in the TNG's history (until maybe after First Concact) Temporal mechanics is hard (and a great way to retcon things)
star trek - Was Vger responsible for the creation of the Borg . . . The whole Borg V'ger idea concept to try to explain the creation of the V'ger vessel, is just that - an idea, and unfortunately it's a false one that the Star Trek writers have been clinging to wrongly, to come up with some plausible explanation for the creation and early history of the Borg and of V'ger
star trek - Science Fiction Fantasy Stack Exchange Lastly, bot the Borg and the Cybermen can survive in the vacuum of space without dying, as witnessed by the invasion attempt in Doctor Who 's "The Wheel in Space" and the Enterprise hull-sensor dish sequence in Star Trek: First Contact
Were the Borg Always intended to be a Delta Quadrant power? Furthermore, the Ferengi have a VERY low species identification number which indicates that either the Borg were active in the Alpha Beta Quadrant a long time ago or the Ferengi were in the Delta Quadrant at the time It seems like it wasn't until Voyager that it was established that the Borg were a Delta Quadrant species
star trek - Any canonical information on what happened to the Borg . . . Chronologically, though, this episode marks the final appearance of the Borg, although they went on to make an appearance on ENT: "Regeneration" Is there any canonical information, beside above, on what happened later to the Borg? Or are we all left with just the mere speculations? Are there any non-canonical works, that deal with this?
