Birmingham Private Club Recommendations - Southeast - GolfWRX There's a decent club off 280, I think it's called Inverness A friend was a member years ago and I always enjoyed playing with him there It seems like most of the clubs in Birmingham are very exclusive One can dream but you're extremely unlikely to get into Shoal Creek, Old Overton, etc
Birmingham Country Clubs - Southeast - GolfWRX The Country Club of Birmingham is in Mountain Brook and it has 2 courses The West course is a Pete Dye design and it might be my favorite golf course Greystone and Shoal Creek aren't too far off of 459, maybe 20 minutes (depending on that horrible hwy 280 traffic)
Birmingham, AL - Country Club Membership Info - GolfWRX Moving to Birmingham in a few months and would like to join a country club I know there are a hand full of clubs with a drastic range in dues initiation fees The two things that I cant figure out from looking at most websites is A initiation fees dues for a member under 35 years old and B whether or not these clubs have a good weekend money
Birmingham Country Clubs - Page 2 - Southeast - GolfWRX I will be moving to Birmingham by March, 2015 I intend to live within a 30 minute commute of downtown (pending a house-hunting trip) I will be looking for a club to join near me To make the family happy the club should have good social activities, pool, gym, maybe some exercise classes my wife, and hopefully kid activities (like summer golf
need club recommendation in Birmingham - Southeast - GolfWRX Greystone is probably the best "country club" with 2 good courses, nice facilities, and things for the family, if you need that Old Overton is the best course that will let you join without knowing someone important Most people would agree that Hoover has the biggest group of low handicaps It is a golfers club for sure
Birmingham AL - Membership golf after AVCC closes As most everyone in Birmingham knows Altadena Valley Country Club will be closing at the end of May I have been a member there for a number of years and enjoyed playing 4 to 5 times a week (mostly walking) Some of the local Private and Public Clubs have invited us to join, but I don't know much about them
Country Club Membership Initiation Fees. Negotiable? Another local club prorates initiation fees based on the new member's age; a younger member joins for a lower up-front cost 3 Some high-end clubs actually appreciate a member's initiation fee if he or she sells out One club further southwest in Virginia pays an 8% return to any member that resigns his (men only) membership
Country Club of Roswell vs Horseshoe Bend Country Club . . . - GolfWRX However, HB charges $15 walking fee even without a cart (I've never in my life heard of a country club charging walking fees What is the point of dues?) Additionally, walking is restricted to after 1pm 3pm in the Summer HB seems pretty strict on guests, limited number of visits, $20 range fee for guests, etc
