  • Anybody use a Halfords All Season Car Cover? - ZRoadster. org
The Halfords one ticks a lot of boxes but especially the fleecy inner Hopefully with the XS size it will limit lot sof movement in the wind which -with dust and grit, can marr the paintwork I miss my garage!

  • Paint advice please - New Railway Modellers Forums
I usually use a spray can of Halfords car primer for this The colour of primer I choose depends on the final colour of what I am painting but for scenic work plain white usually works best The Tamiya and Citadel (available through Games Workshop) range of acrylics are excellent and I can highly recommend them, particularly for scenic work
  • Sleeper grime spray paint - New Railway Modellers Forums
mjb1961 wrote:Hi ,,,I've been thinking about spraying the tracks with the sleeper grime spray to tone down the shiny sleepers ,now model match sleeper grime is £15 50"on eBay £7 50 plus post from halfords ,I think a bit expensive so what about ordinary Matt black spray ,would that give the same result or not ,has anyone got any advice on this ,also would you spray the tracks before
  • Points problem after ballasting - New Railway Modellers Forums
BTW I bought the 1200 grit paper from Toolstation It's much cheaper than Halfords (£2 60 for 10 sheet vs £2 99 for 4 sheets) I use Toolstation for most of my DIY-type purchases due to the very good prices Don't have a Toolstation so postage, Halfords next door to M S, got a lift from my wife John W
  • BR Class 31 Grey Colour Livery - New Railway Modellers Forums
Great looking finish especially as it's done with rattle cans I used to use a lot of Halfords paint, which is very good, but eventually bought an airbrush I'm going to give Railmatch acrylics a go as I've never used them before and my LMS stocks them so easy to get hold of quick
  • Spraying X8R Mirror Bases - ZRoadster. org
I used Halfords "Wet and Dry Paper 2500" for the job I can't remember how much I paid for it but a couple of pound at the most The paper was a breeze to use and i was really happy with the result I set myself up as I did the other day, out in the garden - sun is shining, very little wind and not too cold
  • Has anyone had Halfords. . . . . . . - ZRoadster. org
Halfords stores vary greatly in quality, some of the staff would be hard pushed to boil water, however I was pleasantly surprised on my last visit to Halfords in derby, the lad that served me actually listened to what I had to say, came out to my car and took out my old stereo,he found that I already had the adapter lead, but then, the new stereo I wanted was not in stock, so he knocked some
  • Painting White Metal - New Railway Modellers Forums
For a primer the Citadel stuff from Games workshop isn't bad and the Carplan primers also seem to be widely used but I find the spray pattern to be much cruder resulting in a much thicker coating I have standardised on using Halfords primers on everything from plastics to brass for some time now
  • BMW Z1 Z4 Z8 Z3 Forum and Technical Database - ZRoadster. org
Might be a bit late but your colour code should be on the suspension turret under the bonnet Mine is Hellrot 314 3 and Halfords BMW Bright Red is a good match for this There are a number of Autopaint companies who mix aerosol sprays @TaffZee did a good write-up in his thread `Winter has taken its' toll'
