Problem - BCD store lost, cant recover + no recovery menu The BCD store is kept in the System partition, which is Fat32 and does not have a drive letter The BCD template is in the C:\Windows\Boot I am going to have to stick with the problem arising because of the multiple Fat32 partitions you have on the system Try removing the Phone Card and the other drive that contains all the Fat32 partitions

Raw filesystem on EFI partition, Windows 8. 1 cant boot So I think I may have a bigger problem than a corrupted BCD file I use a dual boot with Xubuntu, and the EFI boot partition shows as fat32 in Gparted I may also have messed up the bootcat cache file, but I think it is ok
