whens a good time to black bear hunting out of whittier It all depends when the snow melts Usually Mid May to first week in June is when I head out Like eagleriver24 said it can be crowded with allot of hunters So pick a couple of areas that look good to you as a back up plan The farther you get out the less amount of hunters you will have
