Hey Robert Szappanos by Adrian Baldwin » Mon Mar 12, 2007 9:08 pm Do you work at Applebees, Chili's, or O'charley's? I'm leaning towards Applebees, but I'm not ready to give my final answer You ready to spill the beans?

D B isnt known for its fine dining, its basically as discribed above an applebees with a adults arcade attached its been duplicated several different times, Jillians Gameworks are both other models of the same concept There are both a Gameworks and D B in Cincy, there used to be a jillians here in town but I think its gone the way of the

At the time I was working at Applebees in the mall, and one of the running jokes there (Applebees) was to send people to the basement So when I started working at Garretts and they tried to send me to the basement to get something -- I promptly let them know that I might be new to this place, but I wasn't new to serving
  • Louisville Restaurants Forum • View topic - Some Respect for KTs!
KT's tends to have it, big chains like O'Charley's and Applebees rarely do KT's has always been consistent in being good food It does have that "O'Charley's" atmosphere, a point the wife and I discussed to no end during our visit, but it feels a little more personal somehow Disappointing to find out there is no head chef, however

James Natsis wrote: [Nobody expects more than an Applebees O'Charlies type of food experience along with a decent beer or other booze choice---that's it, don't make it into more than that Dave Busters is different, but I think the description above depicts it pretty well
  • Louisville Restaurants Forum • View topic - New Liquor Barn
Applebees, on the other hand, isn't putting BBC Beer on tap and isn't sourcing their food locally at all There is a differce that goes far beyond the fact that chains employ locally - a "chain" like Liquor Barn does support the local economy simply by virtue of SELLING items produced locally

  • How many have eaten in a Natl chain rest. raise your hand.
Dunkin Donuts While we eat at fast food on the Interstate sometimes, I'm a big user of Yelp Urbanspoon to find great local places while travelling and will go happily out of my way for great unique food We've found some real gems this way Never: Tumbleweed, White Castle, KFC, Applebees, Texas Roadhouse, Long Johns, O'Charleys, Olive Garden
  • Louisville Restaurants Forum • View topic - Chain alternatives in . . .
Zapata's Corner Mark's Feed Store (local chain) Furlong's Z's Oyster bar (more $$$ than Applebees) Limestone (ditto) In Plainview shopping center, there's Joe's OK Bayou, Cancun Mexican, Sechuan Garden, and a Pizza place (forgot the name)
