I did actually find what I was looking for, its called Soh Anchor Build It has three versions: one that has the other players are fairies, one where they are player models (alpha) (this one is less stable and crashes if you are both in a cutscene ) and player models that are stable but unoptimized (whatever that means, havent tested it) they

for anyone having this issue still make sure you have the correct file type, I was using the hts in windows SOH but found out it has to be the otr version and it works on the latest foxtrot release

Modloader64 was the OG, well I think it was oot online then, but iirc the same team became modloader, anyway it runs through an emulator My experience with it involved lots of input delay, but that was ~5 years ago Ship of Harkinian is a proper pc port, and ran smoother, but I think it has a smaller lobby limit If you're just shooting for 2 player I recommend SoH
