So I got 2 errors from my OBD-2 right now: P0010: "A" Camshaft position actuator circuit open (bank 1) P0012: "A" Camshaft position - timing over-retarded (bank 1) It seems that when colder it vibrates more When I push the car a bit it gets better When driving, no vibrations felt, it's mostly when stopped (automatic transmission) When in neutral, it doesn't vibrate much either The car

At the time for the timing belt work I had gotten the P0012 -"A Camshaft Position - Timing Over - Retarded" and CEL although the car drove normal At the time of replacing the timing belt and tensioner I also had the shop change the oil-pickup screen as a preventative measure, since I had read about the issues it could cause and since the car

Re: P0012 Fault Time to change out your cam chain tensioner I bet that noise you are hearing is loudest at idle and sounds almost like a deisel truck right? Unfortunatly, you had your problem arise when the price of that part just went up to about $500

I have been getting a P0012 code on my '04 A4 1 8T Quattro I have replaced the oil and filter, and replaced the camshaft position sensor It doesn't have a rough start or idle The only things I ha e noticed are that no matter how many times I clear the code, I comes back I also noticed my car consumes quite a bit more fuel than I think it should be I'm sitting at 180 at 1 4 tank left This

Hey, I'm getting an intermittent p0012 code My scanner is calling it "'A' camshaft position timing over-retarded bank 1" My engine was recently rebuilt I have gone threw the initial 500-mile break Then changed the oil to 5w-30 conventional I don't remember having this issue before the oil change but I also don't remember checking much given my CEL is always on because of deletes The code
