I have gone abroad for a couple of months and took my laptop with me It's fairly old, runs windows 7 and AVG free I had zero problems with connecting to the internet wifi at home and in various public places (coffee shops etc ) On arrival here I've been able to connect to the wifi internet on my samsung phone with no problem

This runs well but will suddenly slow down By experiment I have found that if I change the name of the directory holding the data on the NAS box and re link the tables on the front end database the speed returns Strangely if I return the directory to the original name it will again run slow
