  • Caltracs - install, set up, tuning - The BangShift. com Forums
Alright found the instruction for the Caltrac's for my truck, this is what it says With Caltracs installed, reinstall the rear tires and lower the car to the ground For an initial setting have the driver in the car, (or a similar amount of weight) Turn the Force Transfer Link 1 4 TURN evenly side to side to establish pre-load
  • Building my own caltrac type bars - BangShift. com
Re: Building my own "caltrac" type bars Having worked with both and come up with a bit of a blend of parts that seem to work well First you'll want a gusset to support that square wall tube as it bend backward under load The mount plate for the leaf spring pad could use some additional stiffening The CE piece is 25" plate in a broad flat 'u' shape with stiffening plates on the side Second

  • Cal-tracs for overslung leaf springs? Possible? - BangShift. com
Someone deranged must have put that bottom truck together, the bars look like they're expressly designed to "roll" the axle especially since they're mounted closer to the axle centerline then even the leaf springs because of their hokey blocks To me it seems like if they lowered the pivot point on the frame and raised the pivot on the axle to the top of the tube and ditched the blocks, they

Most of the guys we are adding extra holes on are Radials, high power ( over 1000 HP and some as high as 2000 HP) for a lot of leverage, and the Shocks are slowed way down on ext and comp Afco Big Guns revelaved some time twice to slow them down even more The travel stopping is whats un hooking the radials Less travel over a long period of time as they ramp Boost, Nitrous, timing in these
  • Making a MonoLeaf Suspension Hook - BangShift. com
QandA for everything mechanicalRe: Making a MonoLeaf Suspension Hook But this is low buck no buck I did find plans for a slide a link caltrac style bar that some street rod guys are using What kind of experiences do you guys have with the shock tuning on the rear of a leaf spring car?
