Looking at Yanmar's "history" which indicates the #100's should be placed aft on the engine : 1 Hunter Marine installed (2) #100 mounts on the aft portion of the engine and (2) #75 mounts on the forward portion of the engine I feel this choice was made at the instruction of Yanmar 2

I will just say that, on the Yanmar GM series engine, the heavy overhanging transmission end requires the heavier engine mounts (both 100#) and the other end requires the lighter engine mounts (both 75#)
