PSW is an acronym for "Parts Submission Warrant" It is used in the automotive industry when submitting a new part to a customer for approval as part of a PPAP package
- PPAP Approval - Customer approval of PSW (part submission warrant)
A signed PSW does mean more than just approval of paperwork PPAP approval means: Approved indicates that the part or material, including all sub-components, meets all customer requirements The organization is therefore authorized to ship production quantities of the product, subject to releases from the customer scheduling activity
- ISIR (Initial Sample Inspection Report) vs. PSW (Part Sample Warrant)
PSW was described as "Product Sample Warrant " It made it sound as if Initial Sample Reports were being revised to Product Sample Warrants by writing it in this manner "ISIR (Now PSW) " - Not the case, huh?

Hello everyone, I have doubt regarding note inside PSW: Statistical process package Does that note mean SPC ?? Second question concerns PPAP level 5 What does it mean exactly ?? PPAP done by supplier plant but not sent to customer ?? To be checked on supplier plant only ?? Thanks in advance

Completion of Quality Verification requires 16 of the 19 elements of PPAP as stated in the AIAG PPAP manual, 3rd Edition (See Appendix D) (all items except item (13) PSW, (14) Appearance Approval, and (17) Master Sample) Upon successful completion of the 16 of 19 elements, the supplier has met the Phase 1 requirement
