VoIP shouldn't interfere if you are not using it but it can come down to how the router is configured SIP-ALG used to be an issue with AT T's femtocells (the discontinued MicroCell and the current Cell Booster) but that is becoming rarer and rarer because most routers allow you to disable SIP-ALG

Internet speeds of 3M or greater on adsl2+ should be eligible for Uverse VOIP service (phones) with a bundle pricing If you have s POTS line (old style telephone service) there is no bundle discount with any Uverse service of internet or TVs Speeds less than 3M (PRO) cannot support VOIP, would require POTS with no bundling
