Vitalis was like a really diluted hair gel, as it used an alcohol wax to produce the hold So if you liked that, a soft hold hair gel, used sparingly, is probably the way to go

They both stink Vitalis stinks a little less Pinaud and Jeri's have a decent selection, I really like the Eau De Portuagal Smells fresh and citrusy, but not feminine Usually you can find them for sale in barber beauty supply shops, or on the web They're fairly inexpensive and are a lot less greasier than the Vitalis and Brylcreem Greasy kids stuff

Vitalis leaves my hair darned near perfect every day I use it, and it has no annoying side effects like other products, which can leave hair unnaturally rigid ( hairspray or gel "cement head") or greasy ( when I tried Wildroot) An added plus for vitalis over other classic grooms is that it doesn't seem to have issues in the heat
