I believe the cranks were originally designed for single speed track bikes (velodrome) Campy saw the interest in light, quality BMX parts and briefly marketed the parts to the BMX crowd Weren’t quite up to the rough and tumble nature of jumping though

It’s a really cool park, workout stuff, rockwall, and even the Velodrome which was the first of the parks attractions, though I don’t know I’ve ever seen anyone riding it So it’s cool we still have access, but the scene is no where near the Sat morning races in early - mid 90’s Sorry no pics from BITD

I did spend about 10 years racing velodrome, maybe actually 03-11 and got used to shorter cranks Chatting to super coach Sean Dwight, he said he got the guys to try every gear and crank length, but they found they were pretty much always better on what they knew, so find what you like and stick with it Last edited by aaronl (2015-02-27 12:59am)
