I’m sorry, to post this as I know non-UMGC post get ragged I’ve sent transcripts to WGU and UMGC for IT bachelor degrees I have an associates from UMUC so I’m more than halfway done I have a few fundamental certifications and a few years of experience in IT service desk I work full time and want to finish sooner than later

My overall view is that UMUC UMGC is AOK for working adults and or military that want to check a box It is an online school with regional accreditation with a flexible course schedule and low tuition costs I wanted to check the box of having an undergraduate degree so that I could apply to graduate school

UMGC is time in, time out Commit to signing up for classes and finishing them, and you will have a degree that's at least better than nothing 3: Have I had difficulty finding employment with a UMGC degree? Honestly no, but I think that's more of a combination of my own experience and how I'm able to spin my degree when asked about it

I would say for UMGC, don’t believe the conventional “expect to spend 3-4 hours studying per credit hour” because it seems each class takes minimum 14-15 hours a week if you want to properly digest the material and do a good job

Both sites should show you which courses transfer to umgc and what they transfer as I think your advisor is saying that to mention that certain classes will count as like an elective credit and not fulfill certain requirements It’s a lot easier open when you don’t have a minor since your credits are a lot more open for what counts

Is UMGC easy, or is it just me? This is a genuine curiosity as arrogant as it may sound I have one class until I graduate and want to know if this is what I should expect from other schools since I'm thinking about transferring schools for my masters How difficult does everyone find UMGC?
