Is there any actual solution (and I shouldn't need to download a third party app to fix a download from a company's launcher Steam doesn't have this issue nor do my Steam Sims 3 version It's just the EA Sims 3 version, so clearly it's not a PC problem or I can't run the Sims 3 as Steam has no problem running downloading it)

Sims 3 doesn't have a working fps limiter of its own, and the wildly high framerates your card is capable of generating would be enough to cause crashes on their own Even if you're using something to limit fps, please check anyway: open the cheats console (crtl-shift-C) and enter "fps on" without quotes

I just downloaded a Sims 4 expansion pack but I can't get it to install I even searched for it and found it in the store and it has a view in library button but no install button
