I like Troutsupport's suggestion on the Gulf Coast, be a perfect starter boat Gets shallow enough, and handles the rough stuff very well for that size hull Plus, there were alot made, and should be able to find one in your price range

Gulf squid are great, when I was younger chartering out of Sea Ranch at SPI our group liked fresh squid over shrimp, now fishing mostly out of POC, I still get fresh squid when I can off the shrimp boats
