Dr t you missed my point A 308 and 243 model seven will have the same handling, poitability and accuracey the whe point of the 243 is to go faster with a smaller bullet There is a good argument for it out of a decent length barrel but out of <20" it would seem the 308 wins hands down

I'm relatively new to handloading I use a variety of sources to work up loads, including the "One Book One Caliber" series of reloading manuals That book is normally pretty consistent as between data from bullet manufacturers and the powder makers But, not for the 243 I'm using H4895 with

Right around 5-1 2gr Power Pistol, No 5, Unique or True Blue to start They all worked pretty well so it depends on what you have available AutoComp for ported and No 2 or Zip for a snubby Don’t worry about the missing 0 001” The bullet has a concave base and seems to expand to fit the groove just fine Very cool!
